Man grows new jaw, still a whiny bitch.

Article

"...surgeons grew a new jaw bone in his back muscle and transplanted it to his mouth..."

"He eats steak now, but complains to his doctor that because he has no teeth he has to cut it into such small pieces that by the time he gets to the end of the steak, it’s cold."

Boo freaking hoo. Pretty amazing technique though!

The Secret Millionare - Ralph Nader

"...revealed that he is a multimillionaire who makes hundreds of thousands on speeches each year and owns over $1 million in Cisco stock alone. (Nader still refused to release his tax returns, though all other major candidates have done so for the last many years.)"

and even better...

"Nader refuses dinner invitations from anyone with pets, because he thinks cats cause leukemia, and simply hates dogs."

Not that it makes any difference in my mind, but it's strange that someone who preaches such radical viewpoints would subscribe to the very things he so detests.

I had no idea this still existed.

History of Colorado City

I can't believe that, as a society, we're targeting gay marriage with such a fervor while rampant polygamy controls entire towns. These "churches" control every part of these towns, remove all freedoms, and even bear the physical evidence of decades of inbreeding. Is this the proper use of religious freedom?

Polygamy FAQ

"Girls raised in this cult, and there’s just an enormous amount they have no comprehension of an outside world. It bothers me that males here with authority use their authority to leverage sexual favours from young girls. And that is essentially what they are doing- they take young wives, these older men and they’re using their authority positions to gain access to young females and they do it - by the hordes. The brothers here in the top positions have 50 plus wives..."

Alice Cooper against Rockers against Bush?

"ALICE COOPER has told the Canadian Press that all the rock stars campaigning for Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry are guilty of one thing: treason. ... when I see all these rock stars up there talking politics, it makes me sick."

Kiddies LOVE the bobblehead.

I received this email a couple of days ago:

"Hello:
I do not know you at all, but thought you might appreciate this. I was reading through a thread on talkbass.com and my three year old was standing next to me looking at the computer screen. He was staring at one of your posts, as the head rapidly bounced back and forth. He got this really serious look on his face and with great concern said, "Stop little guy". He then grabbed the mouse from me and starting clicking away saying, "I help him, I help him". While your avatar is one of my very favorites, I think my son found it rather disturbing! Cool."

What's the head?
What's talkbass?

Cow Blood - GOOD EATS!

"It has always been the staple and highly nutritious food of vampires even if a diet consisting entirely of blood could hardly be considered balanced. But now scientists have found a way of turning it into biscuits, yoghurts and drinks... The products looked and tasted like chocolate biscuits and vanilla milkshake, it was impossible to tell that either contained blood. They were delicious."

Fifty-Nine Deceits in Fahrenheit 9/11

Four-Page PDF Summary

Entire article (wow, it's long)

Just for the record, i'm in no way implying that Fahrenheit 9/11 should not be viewed, but it would be nice to abolish the lasting myth that it's a documentary and a work of non-fiction.

Fahrenheit 9/11 is more fiction than fact, as skewed and biased as the political campaigns Moore hopes to influence.

Not content with merely using deceptive film editing, Michael Moore alters headline of Bloomington, Illinois newspaper

"A scene early in the movie shows newspaper headlines related to the contested 2000 presidential election. It includes a shot of The Pantagraph's Dec. 19, 2001, front page, with the prominent headline, 'Latest Florida recount shows Gore won election.'

The newspaper says that headline never appeared on that day."
